One Of The Best Days Of My Life

Okay so this is sort of like a late entry.It concerns the day I got my PMR results which was on the 22nd of December 2005.

So on that day,I arrived at school around 9.30 am.Little do I know that the results won’t arrive at school until around 12.30 pm!Since the results won’t come out anytime soon,my mom and I went out to buy the newspaper.We came back to school after that.

I was so darn nervous and scared while waiting for my results.It doesn’t help that I later received a call from both my aunt and uncle who are teachers.They were asking for my results and I told them that I haven’t got them.I received a text message from my cousin,Jeslyn Ang who studied at St. George at Penang.She got straight As and that added the pressure on me.

After what seems like a century,Pn. Rasnah and another teacher who I can’t remember came back with our results!The moment of truth is finally here I thought.After the results have been sorted.The form 3 class teachers brought down the results to the school canteen.Pn. Naza (my class teacher) passed me and she smiled and said "Chester you got all subjects As".Then she sticked out her tongue.I thought that she was kidding because of the tongue thing.

So I went to the school canteen and went to the one of the tables which was assigned for my class.Nobody could possibly know how fast was my heart beat that time.One of my classmates, Khin Chew went and get his results while I stood behind and watched.

I sat down on the chair facing Pn. Naza who is across the table.The moment of truth is just a few seconds away!!Then Pn. Naza looked at me and she said "Haiya Chester why you so nervous?You what you get what,".I just looked at her and smiled weakly.My mom teased her because her hands were shaking."Yalah…I am so nervous for them,"she said.

She gave me my results slip and I was gobsmacked!1.2.3,4,5,6,7As!!I I actually scored straight As!My heart leaped with joy and I thanked Pn. Naza.I got up and thank my mom and all the teachers who taught me all the 7 subjects at school.

I was so happy!22nd of December 2005 was definitely my red-letter day.
